Then most of this notebook coolers are powered by USB ports, hence you need not connect them to the electrical mains.

If you are deeply interested to purchase a notebook cooler, I would suggest you get one that is USB powered. I don’t know how long it will last given the other one was broken day one. Another drawback is that the power indicator LED is obnoxiously bright.
